Mariam Papunashvili

Mariam Papunashvili graduated from the Faculty of Tourism Management at Ilia Chavchavadze State University and went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Tourism Business Management. After taking her first steps in a number of Georgian travel agencies, she joined Promethea Voyages and took charge of the incoming department, becoming an outstanding manager.

With partners selected from a panel, she creates unusual tours, based on discovering authentic places, meeting the locals, having lunch in old wine cellars, waking up in watchtowers… Mariam excels in combining the emotions and sensibilities of the traveler with flawless organization and impeccable quality.

Her region of choice, where she is originally from, is Kakhetia, the wine region. She invites travelers to discover the flavors of Georgian wine, and organizes grape harvests in the homes of local people to get a feel for the atmosphere of the vineyard festival, all combined with a deep cultural discovery of churches and monasteries dating back to the 4th century…
