This 15-day tour offers you a mix of different adventures for children and parents first in Tbilisi and then in the regions. You will visit museums and historical or archaeological sites and also discover the natural diversity of the country. You can take an unforgettable hike at the foot of the Caucasus Mountains as well as go rafting on the Aragvi River. You will have the chance to sunbathe in the western Georgia on the Black Sea beach and relax in the East part of the country, around Lopota Lake – luxury leisure center offering the wide range of sporting or refreshing activities.

Arrive - Tbilisi

Arrive in Tbilisi, meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

Overnight in Tbilisi.

Visit the capital of Georgia

Discover the capital of Georgia – Tbilisi, explore its old district with cobbled streets and traditional houses with wooden balconies, at the bank of Mtkvari river. We visit the landmarks of the city: Metekhi church and its plateau which unfolds a superb view of the old city, Narikala Fortress - the ancient symbol of the city, the district of baths (Abanotubani) known for its Sulphur hot springs.

In the afternoon we visit the National Museum and its collections of “golden treasure” from the ancient period.

Option: It is possible to visit Museum of Illusions – which offers interactive, immersive and fun experience for children and their parents, a perfect, unusual and exciting place for all generations.

Then visit Mtstsminda, enjoy with panoramic views over the city from Funicular. It is possible to visit Mtatsminda Park – favorite park for children with attractions and many amusing spaces.

In the evening, possibility of taking famous Sulphur bath which is great place for health treatment or just for relaxation.

Discover panorama of Alazani Valley and Lopota Lake

Departure to the East part of Georgia – Kakheti region, the region is appreciated for its wine traditions and richness of historical sites.

Short break at Bodbe monastery where St Nino stop of rest during spreading the Christianity in Georgia, this visit allows us to learn the history of the holy evangelizer, very important figure of Georgian religion.

Visit a small and charming village Sighnaghi, stroll through its cobbled streets and along the wall, admire the splendid panorama of Alazani Valley and the Caucasus. Visit Ethnographic museum of Sighnaghi with the exhibition of famous Georgian painter Niko Pirosmani.

We continue our trip to the local wine cellar, where the locals show us their traditional methods of winemaking, very different from European practice. Degustation of wine. Culinary master class: bake Georgian bread called “Shoti” and make Georgian traditional Kakhetian sweets “Churchkhela” – amusing activates for children and their parents.

Departure to Lopota Lake Resort, where we can enjoy different outdoor activates like walking over the lake, biking, water-biking and swimming in outdoor or indoor swimming pools, playing table tennis, mini-golf for kids, etc.

Discover Kakheti region and its history

We continue our discovery of kakheti region. Arrive in Telavi - the capital and historical city of Kakheti.

We visit Tsinandali - palace and historic winery-estate which once belonged to the 19th-century aristocratic poet Alexander Chavchavadze, the palace combines Georgian architecture with Italian inspiration.

The next step allows us to discover the 11th century Alaverdi Cathedral. It is erected in the middle of the plain Alazani, surrounded by the chain of the Greater Caucasus.

Then we visit a carpet workshop with local family museum of carpets in Alvani.

Adventure day – Rafting

Departure to visit Ananuri Fortress offers picturesque views over the Zhinvali Reservoir.

Then we arrive at Aragvi adventure center - The cozy camp nestles on a wooded bank of Pshavis Aragvi River. Children can play in the shallow part of the river or use the small playground equipped with a swing set, a toboggan and a trampoline. The nearby forest offers children the possibilities of understanding nature, which is often missed in urban life.

Rafting on the river Aragvi – difficulty lever 2-3. The rout is 13km long and according to the river level 1 hour and 10-20 minutes is necessary for rafting. Special training before rafting (15 minutes). Every boat is accompanied by a qualified instructor! Rafting equipment (helmets, rafting jackets, wetsuits) are included.

It is possible to sleep in tents or in cottages (the campsite is equipped with showers and toilets).

Hiking at Truso Gorge

We take our road and cross the legendary Georgian Military Highway, one of the world’s most beautiful roads, through the valleys, ravines and finally over the 2300 meters Cross Pass.

Continue the road to the Gorge Truso by 4x4 car, hiking (3 hours). Here, unspoiled nature and high mountains offer splendid panoramas. We find many mineral springs at the Trouso Gorges. After hiking arrive in Stepantsminda, Kazbegi.

Horse riding and exploring the local life

Horse riding up to the Gergeti Trinity Church (approx. 3h, 6 km) located 300 m above the village. Option: Instead of horse riding it is possible to organize hiking up to the church.

We visit local workshop of felt and take taste of mountain tea in the family. Then we have culinary master class of traditional dish “Khinkali” (dumpling) with locals.

After we start our short hiking to the Waterfall of Gveleti (about 1h30 hiking).

Discover UNESCO Sights and Rock-hewn town

Departure for Mtskheta – an old capital of Iberia kingdom, visit Jvari (Cross) monastery perched on a hill and overlooking the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral ("Life-giving column") dated back to the 11tcentury. Shopping of Georgian national handmade souvenirs. Possibility of buying national handcrafted souvenirs.

Then we take the road to the central part of Georgia – Gori, the soviet city. Discover an abandoned rock-hewn town Uplistsikhe (about 1h30), dug into the rocks dates back to the 2nd century, is overlooking to the river Mtkvari.

We continue our tour to visit Atenis Sioni - an Orthodox church of the seventh century located almost 10 kilometers south of the town Gori. The church is situated in valley of Tana, well known with its historic monuments, authentic landscapes and its very special regional wine.

Discover region of medieval fortresses and daily life of local people

Departure to Borjomi, remarkable with its natural mineral springs. Visit Borjomi park, taste mineral sour springs in the park.

On the way of Vardzia visit a family of local farmer to see the daily life of the family. The children can contact with domestic animals and taste eco-fruit.

Visit Vardzia Cave Town, located at the left bank of Mtkvari river. The monastery complex caved in a rock, is XII-XIII CC Georgian picturesque monument, high mountains and rock cliffs, special kind of architecture. We visit this site which still requires a good physical shape - the multi-storey caves are connected by narrow tunnels, carved into the rocks. After sightseeing the local guesthouse owner, M. Valodia welcomes us, who shows us his garden with bio vegetables and fruit and a little farm of rabbits.

UNESCO Sights

We continue our road, cross the pass of Rikoti and arrive in Kutaisi - the West part of Georgia, the second city of the country.

Visit the city and UNESCO sitesGelati monastery, which is the illustration of the Georgian culture since X C until the XVIII C, the masterpiece of the Golden Age of medieval Georgia, the center of science and education during that period. After we visit recently renovated Bagrati cathedral – the symbol of the city, dated back to the X century. Visit very colorful local market.

Visit Prometheus Cave and Okatse Canyon

Departure for Okatse Canyon. Arriving on site, we start our walk, including 800m long Okatse Bridge overlooking the bottom of the Canyon which is 50m.

Departure to Batumi – a modern city at the edge of Black Sea.

Discover Black Sea Coast and modern city Batumi

Free time for relaxation at the beach. 

Visit Batumi Botanical Garden, located on the beautiful coastal hills.

Walking city tour of Batumi - the seaside city on the Black Sea coast, with attractive European and Asian architecture, churches, cobbled streets, active night and day life, especially during the summer. In the evening we take the cable car “Argo” to enjoy the panoramic views over the city and the sea during the sunset.

Beaching

Free time for beaching. 

We have the possibility to visit a Dolphinarium well known for its impressive dolphin shows or / and visit the "Tsitsinatela" amusement Park near Kobuleti.

Goodbye Black Sea

Free time for beaching. 

We return back to Tbilisi by train (5 h).

Arrive in Tbilisi, meeting at the train station and transfer to the hotel.
