This 15-day tour offers a wide range of different adventures for both children and parents, first in Tbilisi, then in the regions. You will visit museums, and historical and archaeological sites and discover the country’s natural diversity. You will enjoy unforgettable hiking in the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains and rafting on the Aragvi River. In the west of Georgia, you can sunbathe on the Black Sea beaches, while in the east of the country, you can relax around Lake Lopota – a luxury leisure resort offering a wide range of sporting and recreational activities.

Arrival - Tbilisi

Arrive in Tbilisi, meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

Visit Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia

Discover the capital of Georgia - Tbilisi, explore its old quarter with its cobbled streets and traditional houses with wooden balconies, on the banks of the Mtkvari River. We visit the city's points of interest: the Metekhi church and its plateau offering a superb view of the old town, the Narikala fortress - the ancient symbol of the city, the baths district (Abanotubani) known for its sulfurous hot springs.

In the afternoon, visit the National Museum and its collections of "golden treasures" from ancient times.

Option: visit the Museum of Illusions - offering an interactive, immersive and fun experience for children and their parents, a perfect, unusual and exciting place for all generations.

Next, a visit to Mtatsminda, with panoramic views of the city from the funicular. You can also visit Mtatsminda Park - a children's favourite with lots of attractions and play areas.

In the evening, you can visit the famous sulfur baths, an ideal place for health treatments or simply to relax.

Discover the panorama of Alazani Valley and Lopota Lake

Departure for the eastern part of Georgia - Kakheti region, famous for its wine tradition and richness of historical sites.

A short stop at the Bodbe Monastery, where Saint Nino rested while spreading Christianity in Georgia, gives us the opportunity to learn about the history of the evangelising saint, a very important figure in Georgian religion.

Visit to the charming little village of Sighnaghi, walking through its cobbled streets and along its walls, admiring the magnificent panorama of the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus. Visit the Sighnaghi Ethnographic Museum with an exhibition of the famous Georgian painter Niko Pirosmani.

Continuation of the tour to the local wine cellar, where the locals will show us their traditional wine-making methods, which are very different from European practices. Wine tasting. Culinary masterclass: baking Georgian bread called "Shoti" and making traditional Georgian Kakhetian sweets "Churchkhela" - fun activities for children and their parents.

Departure for Lopota Lake Resort where you can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities such as lake walks, cycling, water biking and swimming in outdoor or indoor pools, table tennis, mini golf for children, etc.

Discover Kakheti region and its history

We continue our tour of the Kakheti region. Arrival in Telavi, the capital and historic town of Kakheti.

We visit Tsinandali - a historic palace and winery that once belonged to the 19th-century aristocratic poet Alexander Chavchavadze. The palace combines Georgian architecture with Italian inspiration.

The next stop is Alaverdi Cathedral, dating back to the 11th century. It stands in the middle of the Alazani plain, surrounded by the Great Caucasus mountain range.

We then visit a carpet-making workshop with a local family at the Alvani Carpet Museum.

Adventure day – Rafting

Depart for a visit to the Ananuri fortress, which offers a picturesque view of the Zhinvali reservoir.

Then we arrive at the Aragvi Adventure Center - the comfortable camp is nestled on a wooded bank of the Pshavis Aragvi River. Children can play in the shallow part of the river or use the small playground equipped with a swing, slide and trampoline. The nearby beautiful forest offers children the chance to explore and play in nature.

Rafting on the Aragvi River - difficulty level 2-3. The course is 13km long and, depending on the river level, takes about 1h20 to complete. Special training before rafting (15 minutes). Each boat is accompanied by a qualified instructor! Rafting equipment (helmets, rafting jackets, wetsuits) is included.

You can sleep in tents or chalets (camping facilities include showers and toilets).

Hiking at Truso Valley

We set off again, crossing the legendary Georgian Military Road, one of the most beautiful roads in the world, through valleys, ravines and finally the Cross Pass, which rises to 2,300 metres.

We continue by 4x4 car to the Truso Valley, where we hike for 3 hours. Here, unspoilt nature and high mountains offer splendid panoramas. We find numerous mineral springs in the Trouso valley.

After the hike, we head for Stepantsminda, Kazbegi, to spend the night.

Horse riding and exploring the local life

Horse riding up to the Gergeti Trinity Church (approximately 3h, 6km) located 300m above the village.

Option: Instead of horse riding it is possible to organize hiking up to the church.

We visit local workshop of felt and take taste of mountain tea in the family. Then we have culinary master class of traditional dish “Khinkali” (dumpling) with locals.

After we start our short hiking to the Waterfall of Gveleti (about 1h30 hiking).

Discover UNESCO Sites and rock-hewn town

Departure for Mtskheta – an old capital of Iberia kingdom, visit Jvari ("Cross") Monastery perched on a hill and overlooking the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral ("Life-giving column") dated back to the 11th century. Possibility of buying national handcrafted souvenirs.

Then we take the road to the central part of Georgia – Gori, the soviet city. Discover an abandoned rock-hewn town Uplistsikhe (about 1h30), dug into the rocks dates back to the 2nd century, is overlooking to the river Mtkvari.

We continue our tour to visit Atenis Sioni - an Orthodox church of the seventh century located almost 10km south of the town Gori. The church is situated in valley of Tana, well known with its historic monuments, authentic landscapes and its delicious special regional wine.

Discover region of medieval fortresses and daily life of local people

Departure for Borjomi, remarkable for its natural mineral springs. Visit the Borjomi park and taste the acidic mineral springs.

On the way to Vardzia, visit a local farming family to see their daily life. Children can come into contact with domestic animals and taste organic fruits.

Visit the cave town of Vardzia, located on the left bank of the Mtkvari River. The rock-cut monastic complex is a picturesque Georgian monument dating from the 12th and 13th centuries. The high mountains and rocky cliffs present a distinctive type of architecture. A visit to this site requires a good level of physical fitness - the multi-storey caves are linked by narrow tunnels cut into the rock. After the tour, we are welcomed by the owner of the local guesthouse, Mr. Valodia, who shows us his garden with organic vegetables and fruit, as well as a small rabbit farm.

UNESCO Sites

We continue on our way, crossing the Rikoti Pass and arriving in Kutaisi - the western part of Georgia, the country's second-largest city.

Visit to the town and UNESCO Sites: Gelati Monastery, illustrating Georgian culture from the 10th to the 18th century, the masterpiece of the golden age of medieval Georgia, the center of science and education during this period. Afterwards, visit the recently renovated Bagrati Cathedral, the city's landmark, dating from the 10th century. Visit the colorful local market.

Visit Prometheus Cave and Okatse Canyon

In the morning, near Kutaisi, we will discover the Prometheus caves, karst caves with stalactites and stalagmites, decorated with coloured laser lights.

Departure for Okatse Canyon. Arriving on site, we start our walk, including 800m long Okatse Bridge overlooking the bottom of the Canyon which is 50m.

Departure to Batumi – a modern city at the edge of Black Sea.

Discover Black Sea coast and the modern city of Batumi

Free time to relax on the beach.

Visit to Batumi's botanical garden, set in the beautiful coastal hills.

Walking tour of Batumi - a seaside town on the Black Sea coast, with attractive European and Asian architecture, churches, cobbled streets, active nightlife and daylife, especially in summer. In the evening, we'll take the "Argo" cable car to enjoy panoramic views of the city and sea at sunset.

Possibility to visit a dolphinarium famous for its dolphin shows or the amusement park "Tsitsinatela" near Kobuleti.
