Transcaucasian Train Tour

$12 / per person
(0 Reviews)

This tour introduces you to two sides of the Caucasus, Azerbaijan in the Est, facing the Caspian Sea, and Georgia in the West, facing the Black Sea. Two small neighbouring countries with different histories and cultures in the Caucasus – a true crossroads between East and West. Mighty mountains, seas, breathtaking landscapes…

From Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, where magnificent medieval Muslim architecture meets ultra-modern skyscrapers, to Georgian Tbilisi, dominated by the shadow of the Narikala ramparts, you will discover all the natural splendour and some of the starkest contrasts of this magnificent region. Very good facilities and international standard hotel service, a nice contrast to the Soviet train that has not changed over the years. From the arid lands of the Apcheron peninsula to the Georgian vineyards, from the caravanserais to the polychrome churches, history and culture make up a turbulent and gripping tale, on the basis of which your guides will reveal to you all the flavour, charm and value of civilisation.
