The country is blessed with extraordinary nature, with varied landscapes. Mostly Orthodox, the country is full of churches, often perched in spectacular settings. After arrival at Tbilisi International airport, our driver meets you with the sign of your name. Transfer to the hotel.

Visit the capital of Georgia - Tbilisi

City tour of Tbilisi – the capital of Georgia, located at the bank of Mtkvari river, explore its old district with paved streets and typical houses with wooden balconies. Visit the landmarks of the city: Metekhi church and its plateau which unfolds a superb view of the old city, the district of baths (Abanotubani) famous for its Sulphur hot springs, Leghvtakhevi waterfallNarikala Fortress - the ancient symbol of the city.

In the afternoon, visit the National Museum and its collections of “golden treasure” from the antic period. Continue to the main avenue Rustaveli, at the end of the day visit Dry Bridge which attracts visitors with its flea market.

Visit the wine region Kakheti and the panorama of Alazani Valley

Departure to the East part of the country, Kakheti region, discover one of the most beautiful sites of the region.

Visit Bodbe monastery where St. Nino stop of rest during spreading the Christianity in Georgia, this visit allows us to learn the history of the holy evangelizer, very important figure of Georgian religion.

Continue our trip to the small and charming town Sighnaghi with cobbled streets and the historical wall, admire the splendid panorama of Alazani Valley and the Caucasus.

Continue the trip to the local wine house with an old wine cellar, here we see the traditional method of winemaking in Georgia, very different from European practice. Degustation of local Qvevri wine.

Visit Tsinandali – the palace and historic winery-estate which once belonged to the 19th-century aristocratic poet Alexander Chavchavadze, the building of the palace represents Georgian architecture with Italian inspiration.

Arrive in the capital and historical city of Kakheti – Telavi.

Discover the history of the religion and departure to Kazbegi

Continue our discovery of the region which is appreciated for its wine traditions and richness of historical sites.

The next step allows us to discover the 11th century Alaverdi Cathedral.

Explore the monastery of Ikalto and the ruins of its academy where was studied the eminent poet Shota Rustaveli in the 12th century, an author of the great masterpiece of Georgian literature "The Knight in the Panther's Skin “.

On the way of Kazbegi visit Ananuri Fortress which offers picturesque views over the Jinvali Reservoir. Cross Georgian Military Highway and 2300-meter Cross Pass, enjoy with breathtaking panoramas of this beautiful road.

Arrive in Stepantsminda – the administrative center of Kazbegi.

Explore the Greater Caucasus and Mtskheta with UNESCO sights

In the morning, visit Gergeti Trinity church situated 300-meter above the village. We suggest an optional hiking up to Gergeti church (approx. 2 h, 6 km).

Visit a local atelier of felt, master class, after workshop the hostess of the atelier invites us to taste local tea and very delicious jam.

Departure to Mtskheta – an old capital of Iberia kingdom, visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral ("Life-giving column") dated back to the 11tcentury. Free time for strolling the town. During the sunset visit Jvari (Cross) Monastery perched on a hill and overlooking the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers.

The region with its history since the 1st millennium BC till XX C

Early departure to Gori – the soviet city and the central part of Georgia, the hometown of J. Stalin, where we can visit the house-museum of Joseph Stalin and its armored car.

Discover an abandoned rock-hewn town Uplistsikhe which was founded in the late Bronze Age, one of the oldest urban settlements in Georgia overlooks to the river Mtkvari.

Continue to Borjomi, balneological resort remarkable with its natural mineral springs. Visit Borjomi park, take taste of Borjomi sour water.

Arrive in Akhaltsikhe.

Discover the region of fortresses and lakes

Departure to Vardzia Cave Town located in Javakheti region at the left bank of Mtkvari river. The monastery complex is carved into the rock, high mountains and rock cliffs, a unique and impressive architecture of the medieval ages which is connected to Queen Tamar, the great female monarch (king) of Georgia during XII-XIII CC. Visiting the complex requires a good physical shape.

Return back to Tbilisi via Tsalka, on the way visit Poka monastery located on the edge of the alpine lake Paravani, enjoy the panoramas of the Lesser Caucasus.
